Starting with a soon ...

Starting with a soon as you walk in and see the beautiful Art Deco lobby gleaming floors beautiful marble everywhere and many welcoming faces on the staff who work there; our entire stay was wonderful. A friend and I checked in on June 6th and stayed until June 9th. Our room had two queen beds, was spotless, had many towels, washcloths, and toiletries. The beds were nicely made and very comfortable. We were on the second floor, and being so close to time square we figured we would need ear plugs for sleeping. But the room was amazingly quiet! We could hear sirens of course and people in the hall occasionally but for the most part it was quiet. The room was a little warm when we first arrived, and we could not get the control for the air-conditioner to work so we went down to the desk and within 10 minutes two friendly employees were up in the room and had everything working fine. We didn't have any trouble after that at all. We did a lot of sightseeing while in New York, so we were not in the hotel much but we did eat in the restaurant and the food was excellent. This hotel is very conveniently located to time square, all the theaters, radio city is just a few blocks away as is Grand Central, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Rockefeller Center... And lots of shopping! The Edison has complementary Internet that you need to sign into each day, every Tuesday and every Friday there is complimentary wine and cheese in the beautiful Art Deco lobby, there's a fitness room, and they even offer complementary walking tours! Check out time is noon, our flight didn't leave until 6:30 that evening so for a small fee ( 50 cents!) we could leave our bag at the hotel and pick it up later. We will definitely be staying at the Edison in future visit to New York City. I recommend you book a room for your next trip.
