Upon our initial arrival ...

Upon our initial arrival & check-in, we asked to change our hotel room as it was too cramped and not what we were paying for (especially as this was a very special trip for my boyfriend & I celebrating my 30th birthday). The manager at the desk was very apologetic & dealt with our complaint graciously and efficiently, before upgrading us to a signature queen room. To then come back from a walk in Times Square to find a gift bag containing a teddy, sweets, a chocolate brownie from a local bakery and a card saying “Happy Birthday Victoria!” from the concierge team was so kind!! Overall our stay was fantastic - comfy bed, spacious bathroom, the hotel right on the corner of Times Square was just what we wanted. Thankyou for making our stay so wonderful.

I booked this hotel ...

I booked this hotel through Barrhead travel and their Stirling office for a 6 night break in February. Cracking deal. The hotel is in prime location for Times Square. You literally turn right out of the front door a mere 50 Yards and your in Times Square. Hotel staff were great upon check in,everything was fine,I’d recommend the Friedman’s diner right next door that can be accessed from the hotel lobby. Diner is good but ,at be a bit pricey but that the Times Square effect. The hotel gift shop is tiny but if your after souvenirs then your only a mere 2 minutes from Times Square which has all this in abundance. Room was great, clean and all things worked, fresh bottles of water every day. Hotel was clean and all cleaning staff and maintenance staff were very polite etc....... The only fault I can add to my review is when I went to the concierge desk to arrange ground transportation back to Newark for my flight home was that the young girl who served me was on her cell phone the entire time I was there enquiring and eventually booking the transport for my airport transfer. It was a personal call she was on,that was obvious. There was no attempt to put the cell phone to the side or tell the person on the other end to hold or that she would call back. Her conversation continued when I was looking at the terms and conditions and getting the money out my wallet to pay for it. This is the only black mark against this hotel. I Have travelled and holidayed to New York no less than 11 times since March 2006 and the hotels I have used are as follows: Rowe nyc formerly Milford plaza (twice) Hotel Pennsylvania (5 times) New Yorker hotel Amsterdam court hotel Hudson hotel. The Edison and the Amsterdam court remain the stand out hotels for both staff and service in my list. Many thanks,I intend to return to New York again this year 2019 for a winter break and would not hesitate to book the Edison hotel again and have already given a top review to the travel agents that arranged this for me,and also recommended the Edison to a fe wither people too. Location, Location, Location! Efficient ...

Location, Location, Location! Efficient checkin and check out. Our family of 4 (2adults 2 teens) were comfortable here. Clean amenities. Stayed March 3 to 9 during the really cold weather, room was at a comfortable temperature and bedding was warm. We had a light that flashed outside our window on level 4 but were so tired from big days out it wasnt too bad and the power outlet in the bathroom didnt work We reported it but it wasnt fixed during our stay just used power in the main part of the room.
